Each pebble is one SQLite file stored in your pebblebase account. You can download it any time, and you sign in with a passkey, without an email address or a password.

## Take it with you

Ask your AI to export a pebble. It shows you a short-lived link that downloads the whole pebble as one SQLite file, which any SQLite tool can open. See [Export and delete](/docs/export-and-delete).

## Your account

You sign in with a passkey saved on your device or in your password manager. pebblebase never asks for an email address or a password.

## Who can see it

Your pebbles belong to your account only. The AI apps you connect can read and change them, and your AI provider processes what it receives. The [pilot notice](/pebblebase/pilot.md) lists what is stored, who processes it, how long it's kept, and how to ask for deletion.

This is an early pilot. Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
