# What's in a pebble

> A pebble is one SQLite file that holds a tool's data, rules, views, forms, reminders, tests and notes.

A pebble is one tool, kept as one SQLite database file. Everything the tool needs is inside it, so any AI you connect can pick it up, and you can export it whenever you like.

- **Data:** tables of your records, such as check-ins, stays or invoices.
- **Rules:** checks that refuse bad entries, such as a mood that isn't good, ok or bad.
- **Views:** how records are shown: tables, lists, stats, charts, streaks, records, boards and calendars.
- **Forms:** a form for each table, drawn from its columns, to add a row in chat or in the app.
- **Reminders:** pushes to your phone at set times, and messages the pebble sends when something changes.
- **Tests:** what must hold and what must be refused, checked whenever its tables or rules change.
- **Notes:** what the pebble is for, what each field means, and how to log, fix and look things up. Your AI reads them first in every new chat.

## An example: the mood check-in

The [mood check-in](/box/mood-check-in) keeps three check-ins a day, counts a streak of bad ones, nudges you when it's been rough, and reminds you morning, midday and night. Its tests make sure each slot is logged at most once a day and that a mood other than good, ok or bad is refused.

Your pebbles are private to your account. Nothing in them is shared or published.
